As well as Johnstone this site is accessible from Glasgow and the surrounding areas.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Main ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Operations Manager, the Quarry Supervisor will have responsibility for managing the Quarry, taking ownership of performance and quality. You will be responsible for achieving and maximising the efficiency of the production process and delivering a preventative maintenance scheme for mobile plant - delivery to customer needs and performance improvement being key. Managing site compliance and ensuring legislative compliance is also a strong aspect of the role. As Quarry Supervisor you will be responsible for:Managing, coaching and developing a highly skilled, fit for purpose and extremely motivated team to ensure business continuity and reduce business riskLeading change and continuous improvement initiatives, whilst maintaining disciplined stock management processes and producing operational reportsAll aspects of budgetary control for all site operationsMaintaining and implementing existing and new, Standard Operating Procedures, risk assessments and training your staff on the sameManaging and overseeing the safe operation of the sites and the planned preventative maintenance of all the site’s equipmentReporting and investigating any unsafe or hazardous working practicesIssuing of safety briefings and toolbox talks to your operational teamManaging proactively both mandatory training and developmental training of your staff and keep an up-to-date training matrixCollating and report on monthly performance KPI and driving operational performance through KPI’sThis role is working across Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday morning required to meet with our plant operational and customer needs.
