Mechanical Fitter (IOS – Integrated Operational Solutions)
The mechanical fitter will be part of our installation teams working on the Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Framework for the Anglian Water AMP 8 Programme.
This is a long-term opportunity – we are looking at a further 10 years of work.
The Role:
The Mechanical Fitter will be required to install mechanical equipment of varying natures on predominantly Anglian Water clean water and wastewater sites, ensuring health and safety are always adhered to and that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
They will be expected to work alongside and in conjunction with other disciplines, such as electrical and civil, to ensure a smooth delivery of the relevant scheme.
Some knowledge of maintenance will be beneficial to assist with delivering schemes which involve updating or improving old systems to ensure they integrate with new equipment.
Working within the M&E team to provide engineering and maintenance solutions to a variety of mechanical systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Operations
Install mechanical equipment for water treatment works (Anglian Water) to Barhale standards.
Work with and have an input into risk assessments and method statements to ensure health and safety are always strictly adhered to.
Ensure that you are following all company and client rules.
Actively engage with management in the planning, organising and delivery of work.
Assist site teams with requisitioning of materials and equipment promptly.
Assist team leaders with day-to-day operations on-site.
Identify site issues and report to team leaders to ensure resolution.

Deliver projects to water industry standards within the IOS Framework, on time and to budget.

Person Specification:
The successful candidate is likely to meet all the following criteria:
Essential
Significant experience with a mechanical fitting background and in pumps and pipe installations
Relevant CSCS card
First aid training
Manual handling
EUSR - Water hygiene card
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated team member
Full UK Driving license
Desirable
Pipefitting/welding experience
SMSTS/SSSTS qualification
