If you enjoy helping others and ensuring safety, this could be the perfect role for you! 😊As a Security Officer, your main responsibilities will include being the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and the public. You’ll greet everyone warmly and professionally, manage access control, and monitor CCTV systems to keep the site secure. You'll liaise with external security teams responsible for perimeter and car park security, and respond swiftly to emergencies like fires or bomb threats, making sure everyone stays safe and informed.🚒🔥You will assist contractors and visitors, ensuring they follow site policies, and coordinate with authorities during incidents. Continuous monitoring of security radio systems and maintaining accurate records, including incident reports and visitor logs, are key parts of the job. You’ll also operate CCTV and alarm systems, manage employee badges, conduct building patrols, and handle opening and locking procedures. 🔐🛡️In addition, you will take on the role of Fire Warden, leading fire evacuation procedures, and ensure your work area is always neat and tidy. You may be asked to undertake other reasonable duties to meet the needs of the business.🧹What we’re looking for: You must hold a current PSA Licence (private security license) and have at least 1 year of proven experience in a security role. Good general education and qualifications are essential. If you have First Aid and Fire Warden certifications, that’s a big plus! It’s also important to be familiar with Microsoft programs like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 💻You should be confident in handling confidential information and able to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
