The role will be based at the Prep School in Wheathampstead, however, as STAHS is part of the St Albans Education Group (STAEG), there may be occasions where you will be required to work at the STAHS Senior School in St Albans or at a STAEG school.The successful candidate will be part of an extensive pastoral team but will also need to have the ability to work independently and be pro-active in promoting the on-going health and welfare needs of pupils at the Prep School. The role benefits from the support of the Senior School’s Head Nurse.This permanent position is offered on a part-time basis, 27.5 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid break each day, Monday – Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm, term time (including INSET) plus 8 days.The role would ideally suit an adult or paediatric registered nurse who has experience working with primary age children and dealing with minor injuries, including sports injuries and also managing medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma and food allergies. Previous experience working in a school will be beneficial but not essential.
