Reporting to the IT Operations Manager you will work within a small highly skilled IT engineering team to provide support for IT/Telephony systems within our company. You will have a wide scope of general IT infrastructure skills and experience in the pursuit of delivering a high standard of work to both the user communities and change projects. This role demands good technical skills with the ability to support, maintain and operate systems. You will work as part of a team but with the ability to take responsibility and accountability for independent work packages. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to get involved in projects and innovate whilst running all day to day support activities.Key Responsibility AreasProvide First Line IT support on a day-to-day basisEnsure that calls are answered in a timely mannerRecord all tickets on our Service Desk System with sufficient informationEnsuring that IT support requests & incidents are dealt with promptly & resolved within the agreed SLAProven record of closing 30+ tickets per daySupport system changes and project work independent to day-to-day support activitiesTroubleshooting skillsOut of hours installationsAbility to prioritise mission critical vs non criticalPrepared to travel in main land UK when requestedSkills Qualifications and Knowledge RequiredOffice WorkAnswering IT callsLogging IT incidents1st time fixes, e.g. password resetsBasic replacement equipment setup/dispatchBasic phone changesTraining IT apprenticesFix more complex incidents (Monitor number of closed incidents)Moderate replacement equipment setup/dispatchWorking at remote sitesModerate on site fixesVOIP installationsFirewall installationsModerate level on site fixesThin Client installsExact, bitewing Xray only sitesGeneralThis role is likely to develop further as requirements grow.
