Main ResponsibilitiesFollowing a strategic review of the senior leadership staffing structure, an opportunity has arisen for an inspirational professional to take the lead within our dynamic senior leadership team to plan, monitor and evaluate all aspects of Northgate’s Sixth Form provision.  Holding responsibility and oversight for recruitment, you will be determined to forge positive, engaging and relevant links with other secondary providers in the area to ensure that our Sixth Form is the preferred A-level provider for post-16 students in Ipswich.

You must be an excellent practitioner with the ability to model outstanding professional practice to others and lead a team of able and willing colleagues who deliver excellent teaching and pastoral care whilst fostering aspiration, enrichment and extended support for our Sixth Form students.
The Ideal CandidateRequired from September 2024 an outstanding professional with evidence of successful leadership in a secondary school setting.  You will have a genuine commitment to collaboration and teamwork, recognising that working together enables the best outcomes for our students.  Exceptional interpersonal skills and a warm professional rapport and empathy for students’ needs will help you to work effectively alongside a diverse range of young people.  Equally, the ability to engage and harness the support of parents/carers in our quest to ensure that our Sixth Form offers outstanding educational and enriching opportunities to our students will be key.  You will also need excellent communication skills suitable for a range of audiences, a capacity to manage a significant workload and determination, resilience and tenacity are requisite personal characteristics. 
About the school/organisationNorthgate High School is an 11-18 school situated on the edge of Ipswich. Our school  is an impressive site, with purpose-built centres maintained and equipped to the highest standards, including recent investment in technology.
